Website accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website. This statement sets out our aim and what we have done so far.
Our aim
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA on this website. That means the site should be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation or larger text.
What we have done
Colour contrast
We chose our colours so that text meets WCAG 2.2 AA contrast against its background.
Text alternatives
Every image has descriptive alt text that says what is in the photo.
Keyboard navigation
You can move around the site with a keyboard, and there is a skip-to-content link at the top of each page. Focus states are clearly visible.
Readable fonts
Body text is at least 17px on mobile with a line height of 1.6, in a clear, plain font.
Information in another format
If you need information on this website in another format, such as large print or a different layout, please call us on 01983 241 010 or email reception@thefigtreehotel.co.uk. We will do our best to help.
Accessibility at the hotel
This statement is about the website. For accessibility at the hotel itself, including the lift, step-free access and our accessible rooms, see our accessible hotel page. Anyone with specific access needs is welcome to call or email before booking so we can describe the room in detail.
